§ 42-20. Street requirements.

  • Streets will be required to have curb and gutters with sidewalks and shall be constructed of a minimum of 3,500 psi reinforced concrete in accordance with the City of Lumberton Standards and Details.

    (1)

    The minimum width shall not be less than 27 feet back to back of curb for stand up curbs. If laydown curbs are selected by the developer then the minimum width of streets shall be 28 feet back of curb to back of curb.

    (2)

    Concrete paving shall be constructed of a minimum six inches in depth for residential streets, arterials and collectors together with industrial streets shall be determined by geotechnical investigation and calculations submitted for review and approval by the city engineer with the same reinforcing, expansion joints, contraction joints, and a construction joints, as shown in the City of Lumberton Street Construction Standards.

    (3)

    Curbs shall be as shown on the standard details.

    (4)

    Minimum gutter gradients and inlet spacing shall be in accordance with recommendations for drainage.

    (5)

    Standard sidewalks will be required throughout all of the subdivisions in accordance with the City of Lumberton Sidewalk Ordinance.
