§ 42-31. Acceptance of utilities, public areas, and parks.

  • Acceptance of dedication offers of streets, utilities, public areas and parks shall be by action of the city council. All electrical secondary utility lines and electrical service utility lines shall be placed underground, the cost of which shall be borne by the subdivider in accordance with the applicable public utility commission of state requirements. All other public utilities, phone and cable, shall follow the same lines of distribution as determined by Entergy. After approval of acceptance of utilities, public areas, and parks by the city council, a formal letter so stating acceptance shall be drafted and sent to the subdivider, the project engineer and/or surveyor, and a copy is to be filed with the city secretary/treasurer's office and the county clerk's office.
